History:
 Eye Research Center was established in 2005 by Dr. Alireza Dehghani and Dr. Mohammad Reza Akhlaghi. From the year of establishment until 2017, the head of this center was Dr. Hassan Razmjo, and from the beginning of 2018, Dr. Alireza Peyman took over the headship of the center.

• Development and expansion of interdisciplinary and joint research, including genetics of eye diseases, prevention and treatment of refractive errors, and eye pharmacology.
• Implementation of national and international projects in the field of improving vision health.
• Expanding cooperation with ophthalmology centers inside and outside the country in the form of multi-center studies.
• Cooperation with the World Health Organization and other relevant institutions responsible for the prevention and treatment of refractive errors in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
• Designing effective methods in the field of correcting refractive errors and increasing the level of visual health.

Mission:

• Enhancing the spirit of scholarship and the scientific foundation of faculty members in the group of ophthalmologists.
• Development of relations between the ophthalmology research center and domestic and foreign scientific research centers.
• Synchronization with the world's modern ophthalmology knowledge and continuous communication with the world's scientific centers.
• Promotion of interested researchers and ophthalmologists with scientific research courses.
• Promotion of the PhD by Research course with the cooperation of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences and the training of specialists in The field of ophthalmology research.

Since the Eye Research Center was established in Faiz Eye Medical Center,the tools and equipment of this center are certainly at the service of the research center and this hospital has various laboratory and imaging facilities.
